Match the Moment Challenge:

Thanks to the outpouring of support from our alumni, parents, and friends, we have fulfilled the Match the Moment Challenge! We are incredibly grateful for our community's belief in the value of a liberal arts education. If you'd still like to make an impact on our students and faculty, there is time to support Penn Arts & Sciences' mission before the end of our fiscal year on June 30. Please learn more at our Annual Giving page. We are so grateful for your generosity!

PennIDEAS: Innovation and Discovery in Engineering, Arts & Sciences

Join Steven Fluharty, Dean of Penn Arts & Sciences and Thomas S. Gates, Jr. Professor of Psychology, Pharmacology, and Neuroscience, Vijay Kumar, Nemirovsky Family Dean of Penn Engineering and Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics, and faculty experts as we explore discoveries and ideas at the crux of technology and society.

Our panel of faculty experts looks at the promise and perils of big data, considering how it is already transforming research across all areas of inquiry, what happens when machine learning goes wrong, and what it will take to prepare students for this new era.

Hosted by University Trustee and Penn Arts & Sciences Advisor Ramanan Raghavendran, ENG’89, W’89, LPS’13.

Susan Davidson, George A. Weiss Professor of Computer and Information Science
