College of Liberal & Professional Studies Graduation Ceremony

Students graduating from LPS programs are invited to two celebratory events: the LPS Graduation Ceremony and University Commencement. At the LPS Graduation Ceremony, your degree program will be called to the stage and your name will be announced. At the University Commencement, students from each school at Penn are seated and stand together as the President announces each class as a whole.

Graduation Speaker

Michael Weisberg, Bess W. Heyman President’s Distinguished Professor and Chair of Philosophy at Penn, will speak. Weisberg, a philosophy of science scholar, is also director of the Galápagos Education and Research Alliance, interim director of Perry World House, and a senior negotiator at United Nations Climate Conferences.
