Penn Alumni Reading Club: Elias Rodriques

Join author and Penn alum Elias Rodriques and Penn Professor Dagmawi Woubshet for an interactive discussion of Rodriques’ new book All the Water I’ve Seen Is Running. Penn alumni and friends are invited to join the discussion live on-campus in the Sweeten Alumni House or online. Elias Rodriques is a scholar of African-American literature with interests in critical prison studies, black feminism, and black Marxist thought.
About the Author
Elias Rodriques was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and split his young years between Jamaica, New York, and North Florida. His essays have been published in such venues as The Guardian and The Nation and anthologized in collections like Best American Essays. Rodriques earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021. He is currently an Assistant Professor of African American Literature at Sarah Lawrence College, and his first novel is All the Water I’ve Seen is Running.
