Solutions-Driven Climate Storytelling: A Conversation with PBS and the Penn Center for Climate, Sustainability & the Media
3680 Walnut Street, Philadelphia
Solutions must be at the center of the stories the media tells: how do you focus on solutions in a way that engages, inspires, and empowers people on a broad scale?
Join PBS, WHYY and the Penn Center for Science, Sustainability and the Media (PCSSM) to hear directly from industry-leading filmmakers, science communicators, and community leaders about how to make an impact in the ever-changing media landscape.
In today’s fraught media environment, communicating policy-relevant science is more challenging than ever, and nowhere is this more evident than in the public discourse over human-caused climate change. The Penn Center for Science, Sustainability, and the Media focuses on the challenges and opportunities in communicating climate and environmental sustainability to the public and policymakers. Join the Penn Center for Science, Sustainability and the Media and PBS/WHYY for an exciting evening of climate programming and discussion!
PBS will be sharing exclusive clips of their upcoming shows ahead of fall premieres. Learn about the climate story-telling that PBS is doing all over the country and also local programming from our local PBS station WHYY.
This will be a two-part panel discussion with a keynote introduction. This is an in-person only event and it is free to attend but registration is required.
