Donald and Judith Voet selected as recipients of the 2012 ASMBM Award for Exemplary Contributions to Education

Associate Professor Emeritus of Chemistry Donald Voet, and his wife, Judith, the James Hammons Professor Emerita in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Swarthmore College, have been selected as recipients of the 2012 ASBMB Award for Exemplary Contributions to Education. The ASBMB Award for Exemplary Contributions to Education is given annually to a scientist (or scientists) who encourage(s) effective teaching and learning of biochemistry and molecular biology through his/her own teaching, leadership in education, writing, educational research, mentoring or public enlightenment. Nominations must be originated by Society members, but the nominees need not be ASBMB members. The Voets will present a plenary symposium lecture at the 2012 ASBMB Annual meeting in San Diego in late April.
