John Diiulio to Oversee Multi-state Research on Affordable Care Act Implementation
The Rockefeller Institute of the State University of New York and the Fels Institute of Government of the University of Pennsylvania are co-sponsoring a new national network of researchers in 29 states to study the implementation and evolution of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Thomas L. Gais (Director, Rockefeller Institute of Government) and Frederic Fox Leadership Professor of Politics, Religion, and Civil Society and Professor of Political Science John D. DiIulio (Fels Institute of Government) are overseeing the long-term project.
Over 50 social scientists nationwide are working on this multi-state/multi-year field research network study. The goal is to produce a running history and interpretation of the law’s institutional, political, systemic, and health-care effects across the country over time. The researchers are experts in public management, health policy, and politics in their state. Most are faculty at universities, though some work in nonpartisan policy research institutes.
Individual state reports, multi-state summaries and overviews, and special reports will begin to be available on the Rockefeller Institute Web site, Managing Health Reform, this winter.
