Penn Arts and Sciences Faculty Receive 2019 University Teaching Awards
Three members of the Penn Arts and Sciences faculty are recipients of University-wide teaching awards:
LINDBACK AWARD FOR DISTINGUISHED TEACHING
Justin Khoury, Professor of Physics and Astronomy
Sheila Murnaghan, Alfred Reginald Allen Memorial Professor of Greek
PROVOST'S AWARD FOR DISTINGUISHED PH.D. TEACHING AND MENTORING
Nancy S. Steinhardt, Professor of East Asian Languages and Civilizations
The Lindback Awards for Distinguished Teaching at the University of Pennsylvania were established in 1961 with the help of the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Foundation. The Provost’s Award for Distinguished Ph.D. Teaching and Mentoring has been awarded to two members of Penn’s standing or associated faculty in any school offering the Ph.D. since 2004.
All teaching award winners will be honored by the University at a reception Monday, April 29, 2019, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. in Room 200 of College Hall.
