Penn Researchers Find Omega-3 Fatty Acids May Reduce Criminal Behavior
Penn Arts and Sciences researchers have recently published the findings of a study which suggests that omega-3 fatty acids may reduce antisocial and aggressive behavior in children. Writing in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, Richard Perry University Professor Adrain Raine finds that the fatty acids commonly founded in fish oil may prove to be a useful physiological intervention in regulating the parts of the brain associated with impulsivity, violence, and other traits associated with crime.
